The lottery

In the short story "The lottery" there are many themes such as luck ,fate and deception . But the theme that stuck out the most to me was the tradition of the lottery .Because through out the whole story Mr. Warner kept saying that the lottery was tradition ,and that the other towns that did not have the lottery were a bunch of fools. Another thing that struck me was that if you did win the lottery you would be stoned alive by the town and even your family. Which to me was a harsh hart pounding life taking tradition .
