my favorite food

Eating is one of my favorite things to do and my favorite food is pizza. I love all kinds of pizza. My favorite type of pizza is cheese, sausage, and black olives. There are some days where I can just go for a plain old cheese pizza. We have pizza at our house whenever I have friends sleep over. . Pizza is always a big hit at our house . Actually I have never met a person who did not like pizza. Whether you are a vegetarian, or prefer Mexican pizza, there is a pizza that is right for everyone.

high school

So next year I will be an eighth grader, and the topic of high school has been discussed around our house a lot. I am really psyched to be in high school because it is another phase in my life's journey. I really love Pewaukee and have lots of friends. It is a great school system. My parents like it too, but they want me to consider other schools like Marquette High School. I told them I would keep my options open. I also said I am not really thrilled to be staiting at a school where I do not know anyone. I will keep my end of the bargain and tour the school, but it would be hard for me to leave Pewaukee. It could be a new adventure at Marquette, but I need to find our more about the place. My parents said I get to make the final decision. Afterall, it is me who will be the one attending the school.

7th grade

his year went by in a flash and I have many great memories of my first year in middle school. I also know that I have grown in many ways. I learned about many new topics like the stock market, algebra and about Mexico's drug lords. Then there is language arts. I learned about a/b transitions and many different types of writing styles. I think I have a long way to go, but I know I will get there some day.

favorite things to do

I bet if you ask ten people what their favorite things to do are, you will get many different answers. Some people like to bike, some like to play baseball, and others may prefer to read. With all the different options, there are also many things that make them have something in common. Biking and baseball, for example, are two things that can be done outdoors. I actually enjoy many things like playing baseball, going tubing and playing video games that have to do with sports. The common theme among my favorite things to do is sports I guess.

lessons in football

I have learned many lessons on the football field, but my most important one had nothing to do with running plays or scoring touchdowns. It was not a physical lesson, but a mental lesson. I learned what it means to play on a team that eventually feels like family. I learned how important it is to look at the big picture and work with other to achieve a goal, rather than focusing on my own glory or problems. I learned to celebrate victories with others, and to be a good friend and listener when things went wrong for someone on my team. So for me, the most important lesson in football may not have an actual name in the playbook, but it definitely helped prepare me for life.

my first summer trip

I plan on starting my summer vacation with a very special trip. Just me, my dad and my little brother will be dri Student Council Student Councilving to Florida. I am going to space camp at the Kennedy Space Center. My brother, who has cerebral palsy, is going for special physical therapy. This is the second time we made this trip. Most people stop and sleep on the way, but my dad does not. He will probably drive all the way through. We will have a lot of time to talk and have fun. I hope and know that this year's trip will be just as much fun as last year.

Student Council

I took a risk this year and actually tried something different. I joined the student council and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to be boring , and I only joined because my parents said I should give it a try. Now that we are almost done with a year, I am so glad I joined. I got to go on many field trips and learn many things. I felt like a leader in my class. It was sort of like learning about democracy and I was like a Senator or someone in Congress. We organized many activities for our class. Our last event is a trip to Laser Tag Adventure. I guess I should try new things more often. Jooining student council worked out great.

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens

I am always working on getting more good habits than bad ones, and right now I am reading a book that has been very good for this. I am reading a book called "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens ," and it actually has been very helpful. It is a great book , and it has actually kind of changed me as a person . Because in the book it talks about many skills to help you form good habits. One habit that I really am using is to "Begin With the End in Mind." This teaches you to start something with a good image of what the end might turn out like. The book teaches many skills that help in today's society.

One of the main reasons that I like "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" is that it is written by a teenager named Shawn Covery. Shawn uses many stories and examples that I can relate to. I know I am growing up more as I read it. This book has really made me take my studies more seriously. I am now really thinking about the importance of college and good grades. I am about one quarter through the book and am forming good habits already.

space camp

Can you imagine what it would be like to be in space? I actually have a pretty good idea thanks to a trip I took last summer. Last year I went to Space Camp at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Kids like me from all over the country were there. The camp was one week long and I actually got to see a real life space shuttle and meet a real astronaut.

While I made a lot of friends at space camp, my most memorable part was when I learned about zero gravity. I got to go into a room and put a harness around me and then they room simulated wht it would be like to be at zero gravity. All I really remember was being weightless and being able to jump really high. I learned a lot about the space program and even got to try space food. It was actually pretty good. I would highly recommend space camp to other kids my age.

It's been said that baseball is America's favorite past time. Personally, it is of my most favorite sports. I love to play baseball, and I love to watch baseball. Some of my most favorite memories are going to Miller Park to see a game with my family. And, there is nothing like the feeling of playing baseball. L remember a time when I felt like I was one top of the world when the bases were loaded and I hit a home run. I can clearly see why Americans love baseball. It is a little boys dream to play on a winning team, and there are many role models in professional baseball that we all look up to. I guess there are many reasons to see why baseball is a great American sport, whether you are a player or a watcher.
